Following the success of our Shipley Country Park event in 2010, the event was staged again on Sunday 4 September 2011.

This year's Shipley 5k also incorporated the Active Derbyshire Workplace Challenge - local work-based teams to entered as part of the Championing Derbyshire events programme. We had over 20 entries in this new part of the event, the challenge was won by the mens team from NHS Derbyshire's Waistwise programme.

Over 220 walkers, joggers and runners took part in the event despite the wet and windy conditions.
