Derbyshire Dales District Council provides loads of great courses and activities for children, all year round. There are courses for just about everything you can think of, including badminton, climbing, football, gymnastics, swimming, table tennis, tennis and trampolining.
All of the courses are run by qualified coaches and are aimed at children of all abilities so, as well as learning and improving skills, the sessions are also fun and a great way to make new friends.

Junior Climbing Club
The aim of the club is to introduce children to climbing in a fun, safe environment in order to develop climbing skills and promote safe and correct use of equipment. Three levels of competence can be achieved. Each child that takes part in Junior Climbing Club must have a parental consent form completed before taking part in the activity.

A well structured football coaching programme delivered by FA qualified coaches - learn to shoot, dribble, turn, control, head and pass a ball.

Swimming Lessons
Derbyshire Dales District Council’s pools are a great place for your children to learn to swim - our lessons follow the Amateur Swimming Association (ASA) National Teaching Plan, where children are regularly rewarded with certificates and badges from the ASA Awards Scheme.

Table Tennis
A structured approach to the popular game of table tennis, lead by qualified English Table Tennis Association coaches. The course includes basic skills, tactics of the game, competition and match play.

Each course of lessons runs alongside school term times. Payment is required on enrolment and the fees can either be paid in full or by monthly direct debit.
