A special clay pigeon shooting event for young people is being held at Doveridge Clay Sports Club on Friday 2 November.
The Young Shots session organised by the Clay Pigeon Shooting Association will serve as a great introduction to the sport for 10-16-year-olds or a refresher for more experienced youngsters.
Prices start from £40 including a day’s instruction with Qualified Instructors, clays and cartridges, gun hire, lunch and refreshments.

Derbyshire Dales’ flagship leisure facility Arc Leisure Matlock has been chosen as one of only four facilities nationwide to pilot the new ASA/British Gas Swim Fit programme.
Swim Fit is a world leading pool workout programme developed by swimming experts. Delivered by the Arc’s qualified instructors the project is available on poolside and online at www.swimfit.com
Swim Fit provides an interactive and social experience for today’s swimmer.
The Arc are offering the ten pilot sessions at the amazing price of £10 that’s just £1 per session and these can be booked at reception. The sessions are free to Active leisure plus and swimming pass holders.
Places are limited so swimmers are asked to book early.
The sessions will be Mondays 7pm - 8pm and Thursdays 6pm - 7pm.
The first session will be Monday 25 June at 7pm. Along with the Arc staff ASA staff will also be on hand for advice and support, including Sarah Price, who set the 200 meters backstroke world record in 2001 and won 2 gold medals in the 2002 Commonwealth Games.
