British Heart Foundation Challenge Events are a fantastic way to push yourself to the limit while helping others. With a massive choice of bike rides, hikes, swims and even skydives in the UK and overseas, there are plenty of ways to have fun, get fit and save lives in 2011.

Heart and circulatory disease remains the UK’s biggest killer. As the nation’s heart charity, the British Heart Foundation is dedicated to changing this.

Peak District Bike Challenge 2011 On Road

On road Bike Ride across the spectacular terrain of the South Peak District. The Peak District is well known as a favourite region for cyclists of all kinds. This on-road bike ride takes you through the ruggedly diverse terrain of the White Peak district, offering a wealth of scenery. 
Going through the heart of this breathtaking countryside; deep valleys, high limestone hills and thick, leafy woodland, the White Peak Challenge boasts some tremendous riding. 

You have the choice of a 20 mile or 40 mile circular on-road route
Entry Fee: £10.00 (Adult) Free (Child)

High Peak Trail Winter Challenge Hike

Sunday 20 November 2011Come and enjoy one of Derbyshire’s most famous walks....  Experience the spectacular landscape of the Peak District on this popular and challenging 17 mile hike to help raise vital funds for the British Heart Foundation.

The High Peak Trail is traffic free and suitable for moderate to fit walkers. Passing through some of Derbyshire’s finest countryside and industrial heritage, the Trail follows the route of the former Cromford and High Peak Railway. This was one of the worlds first long distance railway lines, built between 1825-30 on canal principles.
