The Active Workplace Mark has been designed to recognise local employers and workplaces that actively encourage and promote physical activity within and outside the workplace to their employees

The Active Workplace Mark will formally recognise and celebrate workplaces which are proactively working to increase the physical activity levels of their staff.

There is significant investment from workplaces in the promotion of physical activity and the health and well being of their employees. Many workplaces have recognised that that a healthy, energised and motivated team will lead to better business performance

The Active Workplace Mark will celebrate this commitment and encourage others to do the same irrespective of the size of the company

Workplaces that achieve the Mark will be presented with an Active Workplace Mark Certificate at an ICON event
 
All workplaces which receive the Mark will be published on the Active Derbyshire Workplace website and be highlighted as examples of good practice
